Mathematics has always been a central component of human thought, and the growth of technology has increased its importance. It provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigour. Mathematics is applied in various fields and disciplines, i.e., mathematical concepts and procedures are used to solve problems in Science, Engineering, Economics etc.
The Department of Mathematics is offering complimentary courses to various departments in this college. The department is established in 1995 when the Department of Tourism started the UG course in Tourism. It is offering a complementary course to the Microbiology department since 1999. And, the department is offering complimentary courses to Commerce Department also.
