HINDI WEEK CELEBRATION 14/09/22 TO 20/09/22 In connection with Hindi week Celebration Department of Hindi, IQAC and EBSB Club organised Reading Competition, Spelling Competition, Hand Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition in Hindi. All the students of different departments participated actively in the competitions. Lt. Dr. Rani S Pillai judged the competitions.She spoke about the importance of learning national language and encouraged the students for participating. Ann Christy of II yr BA Economics got first place, Nandu A V of II yr BTTM got second place and Devanandhana M of II yr BA English and Athira Subhash of II yr BTTM got third place in Reading competition. Ann Christy of II yr BA Economics got first place, Vaishnavi of II yr BTTM got second place and Nandu A V of II yr BTTM got third place in Spelling competition. Aiswarya of II yr BA Economics got first place, Muhammad Anas T of II yr BVoc Agriculture got second place and Ayana Thomas of M.A Journalism & Mass Communication got third place in Hand Writing competition. Deepthiraj B R of II yr BA History got first place, Ann Christy of II yr BA Economics got second place and Adithya Prasad of II yr BA Economics and Pavithra of II yr Econometrics got third place in Poster Making competition.The Principal appreciated the winners.
SLOGAN WRITING COMPETITION IN HINDI In connection with 75th Independence Day Celebration Department of Hindi and EBSB Club organized a Slogan Writing Competition in Hindi. The last date to send slogans through whatsapp was 14th August 2022.All the students actively participated in the competition.Nuhman of II yr BTTM got first place, Ann Christy of II yr BA Economics got second place and Devapriya M of II yr BA Econometrics got third place.The Principal appreciated the winners.
An online invited lecture was conducted on 15th September 2021 at 3pm via Google Meet. The topic of the lecture was ‘Hindi Bhasha ka Swaroop aur Mahatva’. The lecture begin with a silent prayer and Mr. Arjun PV of 2nd year BTTM welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr. Anilkumar K gave presidential address and encouraged the students for organising the program. Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Dileep M R felicitated the students. Head of Hindi department and program coordinator Dr.Teena, introduced the speaker.Speaker Dr. Hemalatha C P,Assistant Professor and Head, department of Hindi, WMO College, Muttil, Wayanad gave a lecture on the origin and importance of Hindi language in different areas of our life. She also added that Hindi language act as the medium to understand the cultural heritage of India. The feedback session was very live and students cleared their doubts and added their opinions. About 42 students participated in this lecture. Ms Vismaya M of 2nd year BA English gave vote of thanks.
31st July is celebrated as Premchand Jayanthi among Hindi literature lovers.Premchand is the famous fiction writer of Hindi literature.Premchand’s story is included in the syllabus of High school level students.So this time Hindi Forum of our college organied an online video presentation of our students on the topic ‘Kahanikaar Premchand : Vyaktitva aur Krititva’. Ms.Drishya M of 1st year BSc Microbiology presented video on the topic Premchand:Vyaktitva aur Krititva, Ms Charutha Das C (1st BTTM),Ms. Sajla Sherin(1st BSc.Biochemistry),Ms Vismaya M(1st BA English),Ms Niveditha Sunny(1st BA Economics),Ms Megha K K(1st BBA) also presented videos on summary of Premchand’s stories, ‘Takur ka kua’, Bade ghar ki beti’, ‘Idgah’, ‘Boodhi kaaki’ and ‘Kafan’.The program was a great success andthe students got an idea about the style and influence of Premchand.
In connection with Reading Day Hindi Manch of our department organized an online ‘Hindi Kavitha Vachan Pratiyogitha’.The last date to send videos of the students reciting poem was 25th June 2021.All the students actively participated in the competition. Ms Angel Mariya Dennis of 1st year BTTM got first place, Ms Ashly George of 3rd year BA English got second place and Ms Drishya M of 1st year BSc. Microbiology got third place.The college Principal appreciated the winners.
A virtual invited lecture was held on 16th March 2021 at 11 am via Google Meet, on the topic ‘Women in Contemporary Hindi Cinema’. Ms Drishya P E of 2nd year Mass Communication compered the program. Dr. Teena Head,Department of Hindi gave a warm welcome to all. Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, Dr.Dileep M R gave presidential address and felicitated the program. Chief guest of the program Dr.Supriya P, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi and Comparative Literature,Central University of Kerala, gave a wonderful talk with reference of more than 25 Hindi cinemas and the journey of women characters in Hindi cinemas in last 2 decades.The topic was really relevant in connection with the role of women in our society.More than 90 students participated in this program and it was interesting session to them. An online Hindi Week Celebration Asmitha 2k20 was organised from 14 to 20 Sep. 2020.Various competitions were conducted in connection with this programme. Hindi Patriotic Song competition, Hindi Recitation competition and Hindi Essay Writing competition on the topic ‘Rashtrabhasha Hindi’ were held through online platform.All the students actively participated in these competitions. E-Certificates were awarded to the winners. The programme began with the prayer song of Ms Sandra Sunil (2nd year Mass Communication).Head of Hindi department Dr. Teena gave welcome speech.Principal Dr. Anilkumar K gave presidential address. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Meera P I, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Hindi, Zamorin’s Guruvayoorappan College, Kozhikode.College Bursar Fr. George Alumootil,CEO Fr. Varghese Koolamavudy,Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator Dr.Dileep M R,Prof. Thara Philip, self financing director and all HOD’s of various departments felicitated the program. Ms.Anjali Rose(2nd year BA English) gave vote of thanks.
